The EU Project of our Department of Public Finance earned our University the EACEA quality label.

The European Union project named “HUMMED”, which was carried out by our Vice Rector and Head of the Department of Public Finance Prof. Dr. Fatih Sarıoğlu and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Özmen Bol, and in which the academic staff of the Department of Public Finance actively participated, successfully passed all the evaluation stages of the European Solidarity Corps program carried out by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and was entitled to be supported.

As a result of this significant achievement, our university has been awarded the Quality Label, which is valid for seven years, by EACEA. This label certifies that our university is among the qualified institutions in the fields of volunteering, solidarity and social participation at European level. At the same time, this label allows our university to apply directly to many international projects under the umbrella of EACEA in the future.

The HUMMED project aims to increase the knowledge, skills and awareness of local people and young volunteers, and aims to make concrete contributions in the fields of environmental sustainability, rural development, social inclusion and digital competencies. The project will be carried out in collaboration with six countries (Italy, Kenya, Vietnam, Nepal, Thailand, Tunisia), one of which is a member of the European Union, and 40 volunteers will play an active role in the process.
